Kiehls
Anti-Aging Rating: 3 out of 5 Overall Impression: Good Review Kiehls is a mid-range line of skin, hair, body, and cleansing products mostly directed at men that was developed by Kiehls Pharmacy decades ago and blossomed into a nationally retailed line. They have a small anti-aging line that is mostly based on Vitamin C and a substance called Abyssine. Abyssine is a survival molecule described on their website as being a Alteromonas Ferment Extract that thrives under extreme conditions in the ocean. While Vitamin C has many clinical studies behind its effectiveness in skin care, Abyssine has very little study, though there is some evidence it may have anti-inflammatory properties. Overall reviewers have reported fairly good results with the anti-aging products in this line. While a full ingredients list is not published online, most reviewers seem to tolerate the products well with sparse reports of acne breakouts and irritation. There have been reports that the moisturizers in this line still leave the skin more dry feeling than hydrated feeling. Typical Price Range Face products are up to $70 and eye area products are up to $40. Website www.kiehls.com Similar Lines Origins, Philosophy, Paula's Choice |
