We can carry out renovations
and small construction projects.
Renovations:
We have a record of efficient and professional-quality renovations.
Our experiences include plumbing, drywall, painting, floor tiling,
roofing, window repairs, building safety and accessibility devices,
plus the usual cleanups and yard work. Contact Skills and Initiatives.
We can give hands-on-support
to those wishing to build skills.
Hands-on-support:
Our volunteers often wish to improve upon a skill or to demonstrate
their ability to be productive in a workplace. We, on the other hand,
often wish to find willing hands to help us complete a project of
benefit to the community. Matching individual abilities to local projects
has been our key activity, and we have always found a match. Contact
Skills and Initiatives.
We can help low-income
seniors, families and the disabled maintain their homes .
Home Maintenance:
It is common knowledge that the longer someone can stay in their own
home, the healthier they will be. There is nothing like the pride
of home ownership to give a senior, a disabled person, or a low-income
family a sense of well-being. To further this goal, Skills and Initiatives
, offers home maintenance and repair services to those who can't afford
to hire professionals.
We can help you to
become a volunteer and link you to one of our current projects.
Want to Volunteer?:
Everyone knows that many hands make light work. We invite anyone who
wishes to contribute their time, experience and energy, for one hour,
one week, or for a month, to contact Skills and Initiatives for a
challenge within ongoing projects. We offer flexible hours, a safe
workplace and recognition for each effort.
We can be partners
with your organization.
Partners:
It's easy to agree upon the need for renovating or redecorating or
updating a facility. But, it takes time and energy from the normal
activities of a non-profit group to carry out these intentions. We
can help by supervising a work crew, which could include your own.
