Right up to the boat they came."Wouldn't you know it"said Cinthia as she looked at them."It's the fish people from the Skihippys island�,"what are you doing here?"she cried out happily.
�Hey Cinthia," a voice rang out,"would you and Wilbur like to join us for a party.""but how and where,"Cinthia asked! being puzzled by this conversation.Wilbur knew though that anything was possible."ok, i will go how about you Cinthia?�,asked Wilbur himself all excited.
�It's easy,� yet another so called fish person spoke."by the way Cinthia we are Mermaids and Mermen if you must know� a mermaid spoke out followed by laughter from all of the sea people"Just grab your little friend and jump in and do not be afraid to breathe�,"we shall take care of the rest�,"we are taking you under the sea to where we live","please join us?�,she went on to say.
�No saying but! but! Cinthia!lets have some fun!grab Bebo! �Wilbur said as he dived in."no way! Bebo, cant swim!"Cinthia said with a scorn."he'll be fine just grab him,"replied the mermaid,"monkeys can swim naturaly,""you must trust us all the way,if you want to join us".
Into the water, jumped Cinthia, holding the reluctant but loyal Bebo."There now,"said the head Mermaid,"by the way,my name is Lea,i will be your guide dear Cinthia.""Your bodies are going to change like ours so don't panic its only while your under water so you can move and breathe!�
�Now! dive under!�commanded Lea!,"here goes nothing!"said Wilbur as he dove under.All of a sudden his clothes were gone and a giant fish-tale wrapped around his legs and he could breathe and he could see as plain as day.Up to the surface he swam."Cinthia its great!lets go, yippee.""What an embocile �thought Cinthia but ignoring Wilbur all the same."Te he!� she thought"Wilbur can be such a clown sometime,he is a little too trusting sometime!�,"we better talk about this!�.
Cinthia went under it was the same for her.Up to the surface she went."Look Wilbur it's great, look at Bebo!�."Darn Cinthia i never saw a Sea-monkey but i have now!"he giggled aloud!Bebo was confused and panicking.
�Dive under now!Bebo will follow and he'll be fine!"shouted Lea.
Down,down they swam with all the others.Lea stayed right in front of them while a few others followed to make sure they were alright.There were hundreds of them and they looked like a school of fish alright.
Bebo was indeed alright he swam right by Cinthia's side.
Suddenly they dove down real deep and Cinthia could see bright lights and what looked like a city under water.They were statues every where,there where streets,buildings.
She went to talk and noticed she could when her mouth didn't fill up with water."Hey Wilbur, isn't it marvelous!"Cinthia called out.
�We are here!",said Lea,"follow me to the collasium!�
There was a party going on!Cinthia noticed.There was racing and may poles and decorations and food everywhere.There were little children mermaids and mer boys.
�Some people, on the surface call this the lost city of Atlantis.We used to be on the surface until an asteroid hit nearby!"said Lea."You are off the coast of the island of Cuba!"said Wilbur."Because your so deep no one has noticed this right Lea!"he continued."I have read about Atlantis!"said Cinthia,"but then were you not real people?�.
�We were indeed many thousands of years ago!,we were very advanced and knew of the asteroid coming and we were given choices by our leaders.Some chose to go to what is now Egypt,while some picked the jungles of your South America.My ancestors took the formula took make our bodies adapt to the Sea,which i am glad personally.We stay hidden from the outside world though because they are not ready.You are one of the first,we can trust no one if you know what we mean.By the way we have a present for you.""Jago bring him here!"Lea commanded,right then and there out of a giant Seashell swam Banjo.He swam right up to Wilbur.
Tears of joy ran down Cinthias face and Wilburs,it was the happiest moment of their journey."Oh Banjo!�,"Banjo is it really you""here boy!"cried out Wilbur.It really was Banjo,Wilbur knew by the slurping and was laughing his behind off."You are a real seadog now!"Wilbur laughed aloud."Come to me Banjo!"Cinthia cried,"i am so sorry,please forgive me boy!�.With that Banjo gave Cinthia the biggest slurp.
Lea and the whole town were in tears and quiet but happy when someone yelled!"lets eat�.And eat they did.They watched the rest of the shows and the demonstrations of the Sea Acrobatics.What a grand time.The music was weird and different but the kids enjoyed everything.
�Alright! Lea please explain!"asked Wilbur, with Banjo sitting next to him."Well Wilbur,Skihippy had a little something to do with his healing.Banjo was only in a coma luckily you didn't see Skihippy dig him right back up after you buried him and get him well again after fixing his wound.�
�I don't even care what happened!you are the greatest people in the world!"shouted Wilbur with joy,"We love you!"said Cinthia,"thank you you and Skihippy are the greatest� she sobbed.
By then Banjo was sniffing Bebo's rear tail-fin making Bebo crawl all over Cinthia causing everyone to break out with laughter.
�Where are you sailing to next dear Wilbur?�asked Lea as the noise of the party almost drowned her out."We are going to the South Pacific!"answered Wilbur."We are going to paradise Te he! �giggled Cinthia,�with our little family,"Banjo,Bebo,Wilbur and I.
�I have a necklace for each of you here!"said Lea.The necklaces were made of gold chains and half pearls."now if you ever get in deep despair put your halfstone against Cinthias, Wilbur","and we shall find you.""Oh by the way for your own protection you will forget you were ever here but you may see us and remember us in a dream from time to time�she continued on.
�Skihippy and Marie will be watching you but not interfering in your destiny.God be with you."Lea rambled on and suddenly a white light flashed.
They were back on the boat with Banjo and Bebo .Again Wibur and Cinthia knew something had happened.They saw Banjo and were mystified and they just accepted he was back,sighed and turned in for the night happily.This time Wilbur did not push Banjo away.So there they were in bed.Wilbur,Cinthia,Bebo and Banjo."One big happy growing family Cinthia sighed to herself and nodded out.
