READY FOR DEPARTURE
Cinthia woke up to the most beautifulest morning of her life,except for one thing.Banjo was licking her face.The usual excited dog-slurp way too!Cinthia was ugh-ing while Wilbur was laughing.ThenBanjo shook
off the Seawater all over them.He had them running and laughing.They were so happy to see Banjo.
Banjo has swam all the way their too see his Wilbur.
They could hear whistles blowing off toward the water which only meant one thing.Scoobert was looking for them.
"Quick"said Wilbur"let`s hide".Cinthia only to willing agreed.She didn`t want to go home yet either and off towards the woods they lept."Keep quiet Banjo"Wilbur commanded to his pup.The whistle was too much though and Banjo went running toward the waves!!!Anything like that definatley distracts a dog.
"Were in trouble now"ranted Wilbur as Banjo headed to the sound."We might as well give up"!said Cinthia.They both knew darn well old Scoobert knew what he was doing by sending Banjo after them.The dog scent thing you know and the great swimming dog was also an asset too!
"Come out come out you two`s,fer`s i haves` to makes a scene"shouted Scoobert."Alright already Scoobert but we must talk first"demanded Cinthia.
They waited on the shore for Scoobert to sail in which seemed like an eternity."What do we say"said Wilbur to Cinthia."Just let me talk"she replied.Which got Wilbur thinking"that Cyndi sure is making me hush a lot lately"but Wilbur just shrugged it off.Cinthia being with him left him kind of high, which was like a dream come true, even with all the bad things ,this certainley was a dream.
"Pull me in Young Wilbur!!"said Scoobert."Hello there ands dids we haves a rough nite out so rough you`s couldn`t come home"Scoobert also said.
"Never you mind!"blurted Cinthia"all is well and perhaps we didn`t want to return"she said snidely.
"We are not going home!!!"Wilbur interjected to both Scoobert's and Cinthia`s amazement.
After a stunning second Cinthia and Scoobert replied at almost the same time "What was that?"
Then Cinthia looked Wilbur right in the eye`s and said"Whatever you want to do my man i`ll be with you".
Much to Wilbur`s releif and to Scoobert continued amazement.
"What about home kids"cried out Scoobert"Wont you be coming back to bid farewell".As Scoobert knew in his mind that it would be a while if they did at all.
"Well you might as well share my thoughts Scoobert to"said Cinthia then paused and spoke."You see Boy`s"she said to both of them" I want to marry you Wilbur but i dont want to stay on the island forever".
"I have a friend from the mainland named Jan who has never left her home at all"she continued"Jan writes
me all the time and tell`s me how she is trapped in her town forever and ever"and""i asked her why and she said she had no family any place else and was not willing to just venture thus facing her fate"."I have ran over this scenerio over and over and i could never come to grips with that kind of fate"she rambled on.
"Wilbur if you want my hand you must take me traveling for at least a year,then you will have me and only then"said Cinthia.
Scoobert acted shocked but he knew it was time.Scoobert also knew the kids had also accomplished driving away the green cloud that menaced the island just as was destined.He did not utter this to them though and he felt they were free to go their destinies.
"Well`s put young Cinthias,youse couldnt a made a more fairer statesment to youngs Wilburs"said Scoobert.
"Well Wilbur"said Cinthia as she looked at Wilbur SQUIRMING with delight.
"Dont worry`s aboutssupplies kids i`llse haves everythings waitins fer youse two`s in a couples of day`s "said Scoobert."Listen i will write my parents a letter and Wilbur will write his too of our intention`s and our needs and goodwill for you to deliver"said Cinthia."We shall humbly wait for your return and leave Banjo with us,oh and thank you for everything Scoobert"she also said.
"NO NO NO"cried Cinthia`s mother"my baby has grown up"she ranted."Quiet their she has done nothing you have never dreamed of"said the Lighthouse Keeper.He was proud of the kids and proud of the events
and how they saved the Island.He also knew his wife knew nothing of the Secret Society and how their long planned had worked.He was heartbroken anyway about his daughter leaving but knew it would not be long as the love they shared was tested and trued.He knew his daughter could never look at him and say "Daddy i am leaving".Cinthia would have broke down at the inner strength of him would have been overwhelmed.She had to leave this way and no other.Heartbreaking none the less.
"They will be fine,We shall suplly them with the finest and the most stock for at least a year dear Mother"Said Cinthia`s father."When they return we shall give them the finest wedding Mother"he also said and said"Cinthia left you the note of her intentions just bear with them Mother your daughter has captured her Man".Cinthia`s mother though over the comforting words of the Master and agreed"I never thought of it,she has indeed captured her man".With that in mind she smiled and moved on to her chore but in a better mood and then stopped."We must hurry and get the finest supplies your right Father"she said.
And so after mustering what seemed like the whole town a small boat but ocean worthy was loaded up for
their HERO`S but of course in quiet as Wilbur and Cinthia were supposedly not to know of their involvement.A few day`s later with a few hands manning the new boat in tow Scoobert arrived at the island.
