Skarekrow is a Tulsa area all original modern rock band that was started by singer / guitarist Gil Duron in 1998. The music is a blend of roaring guitars, groove oriented bass, hard hitting drumming, and clean well defined vocals. The band has had some lineup changes since its beginnings that have led to its current lineup. Mike Hargis came on board as the drummer in September of 2004, and Andre joined the band on the bass in the summer of 2005. The band is currently supporting its debut full-length album "Morning Star" to raving reviews. The CD has sold 100's of copies locally, and has been heard on thousands of promotional disks. In the past year the band has been working very hard, and have played over 30 shows. Some shows of note are the "Up in smoke benefit" at the Cain's Ballroom, The Galaxy Club (Dallas, TX), The Curtain Club (Dallas, TX), Cancer Sucks benefit, and the Stadium. Currently, the band is working hard to keep on playing shows to as many people as possible, and to keep on rocking hard.

10/14/05: Andre is officialy in the band, and he is doing very well. Hope to see everyone soon at the shows! Also, the band has finally got some new T-shirts. They will be available at shows for $10 each.
9/12/05: Hey everyone. The band wants to thank Brent Crawford for all the help filling in on the bass. The band is regrouping and will be back on stage in October. Thanks to Radio League Champions for the great show at Hoops.
8/29/05: Well, Joey is no longer in the band. We will be annoucing our new bass player soon. All shows are still on.
8/19/05: The band has been busy booking a string of shows in September and October. Be sure to come out and party with us!
8/10/05: Last minute show coming up this saturday 8/13/05 in Yale, OK. Also, we are doing a new photo shoot this Friday so wish us luck we don't like posing very much.
8/4/05: We have August off right now. So, we'll be kicking back and writing more music!.
7/23/05: The band has a cool new stage banner we are taking to shows.
7/22/05: The show at the Venue has been moved to the Station at 81st and Mingo.
7/1/05: We've got a few shows coming up , and we've got a few new tunes to play check out shows to get more info.
5/18/05: This weekend we will be playing Two Bucks and Bostons. After that we should be busy writing and creating new music.
5/12/05: We are going into the studio to lay down a few rough tracks tomorrow. We may have some new music to share soon.
4/14/05: I haven't updated in a while. We have been taking it easy for a few weeks. There are many new shows in the works. So, we look to be at it again here very soon.

1/26/05: Well the last minute show went pretty well considering a lot of things changed at the last minute. Thanks to Last Chance, Half past dead, and Phoenix Rising for playing the show with us.
1/18/05: The Cains show went very well. All the other bands did very,very well. Anyway, we have a last minute show coming up Friday January 21st with The Sound and the Fury from Kansas City at Two Bucks. Come check it out!
1/13/05: Cool news. Skarekrow will be playing the Cancer Sucks Benefit at the Hardwoods (across the street from TU football stadium on 11th St). The bands are Acasic, ONO, Milk Truck, Vastu, and of course Skarekrow

1/3/05: I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! We have a couple big shows coming up this month. The first will be January 14th with Working Class Hero and Akasic at Two Bucks. Then, it will be the up in smoke benefit at the Cains Ballroom.
1/2/05: Very special thanks to my good friends from Last Chance for playing the New Years show at 4 Play with us.
12/16/04: We have a show booked at Two Bucks on Christmas Eve. Big cool Daddy's is no more. So, that show is obviously cancelled.
12/7/04: The show for Dec. 18th at Two Bucks has been cancelled because of Rain Tree.
