12/12/03: Well, it's been settled. Skarekrow is no more. The new band name is Sun Culture. Please check out the new web site to keep up with Gil and Mike's new band.

9/22/03: Morning star has been recorded, and the first ever Skarekrow T-shirts have been printed. The band is regrouping and booking shows.

7/28/03: We will be in the studio in August. It's been a long slow summer for the band, and August will be no exception. The band will spend some time rehearsing to record.

6/25/03: Well we played a suprise show at the cave last weekend with long time friend Brent and his band Last Chance. It's good to have Brian all healed up if you know what I mean. Still working on perfecting the songs for the long awaited album. I really hate to say at this point when that will be recorded, but everything is written. Good things come in time.

4/30/03: Well, there's not much new going on in the world of Skarekrow. We have seen a lot of strange things lately from the avoidence of a talent scout ripoff to the many potential name changes. It seems to be a time of transition for the band. Nevertheless, we have finished writing the new album, and we hope to be recording soon! Also, the band has some new pics that I will have up on the site in a few days.

2/4/03: The band has been writing in the past couple months. Expect a new record to be complete sometime around April.

\10/22/02: Skarekrow will be in Joplin with Defending the Addiction Friday Oct. 25th. The band is still on the hunt for a new guitarist.

9/12/02: Come out to Curly's Tonight! Skarekrow will be with No Label and the Daybirds from Kansas City with 104.5 the Edge's host Greg Kosac.

9/11/02: Skarekrow urges everyone to remember the victims of last year.

7/26/02: Thanks to all of you who have purchased the EP Words. We have sold out, but not to worry more are on the way!

6/11/02: Be on the lookout for some new pictures on this site.

6/11/02: The band will be playing with old friends Mercenary in Pryor to help support Mercenary's CD release!

5/6/02: Skarekrow will be in studio May the 20th at Rogers State University Radio. The band will perform some live accoustic songs. Make sure to listen between 6 and 10PM to 93.1.

5/3/02: The CD realease party will be Thursday May, 23 2002 at Curly's (Brady and Elgin) with Tex Montana and Growing Mylow. The first 20 people throught the door will receive a free copy of the EP "Words"

5/3/02: Keep your ears posted for Skarkrow on RSU radio 93.1 FM.

4/18/02: Skarekrow gets some radio play! Big thanks to Tony from the Edge for playing us on his show.

4/9/02: Check out the music section to download Words. Thanks to Hank Charles for a great recording.

3/18/02: The new EP Words is recorded! It features Words, Fallen, Green Mind, 4 Days, & Vast. There will be a EP Release party at Curlys on May 23rd 5 bucks.

2/18/02: Skarekrow plays at a party at Jon's house. Jon is in the local band Mercenary. I'll try to let everyone know the next time something like this will happen.

2/13/02: Thanks to all the fans that supported us at Curly's for the Sonic Distortion show. It was the best audience yet.

1/26/02: Skarekrow would like to thank Bananas for a great show in Bartlesville, and they would like to thank the many people who have joined the mailing list.

1/23/02: The band plays their first ever accoustic show.  What a great time it was!  Gil shared the stage with some of the guys from Sofa Choker to play some Jimmy Hendrix and Lit songs.  It was a great time.
