You move swiftly through the gate. Ffloyd
seems as familiar with the animal pens as he is with
the rest of the island. In seconds you are standing
before a heavily barred gate with a sign that reads
SABER-TOOTHED TIGERS
"Saber-toothed tigers!" you exclaim. "I met up
with those earlier today! Aren't they supposed to
be extinct?"
"They were," Ffloyd says. "But Omicron scien-
tists have been fiddling with genes, DNA, and the
like; and now we have before us some of the re-
sults: saber-toothed tigers. . . . And quite fero-
cious they are indeed."
"You mean, Omicron could even make dino-
saurs?" you ask.
"They could," Ffloyd says significantly. "But
now we have a decision to make. One of us has to
contact the rebel slaves. They know me - and they
most assuredly don't know you. So they are more
likely to trust me. On the other hand one of us must
release the animals; and I have a way with a wild
creatures. They will obey me."
If you decide to try to contact the rebel slaves...
If instead you elect to stay and free the tigers...
