Jonathan is the leader o the rebel slaves. There is a window beside the cot where he sleeps. It is the second window to the right of the barracks door. Do you have that?" "Yes," you say. "Third barracks, second win- dow to the right of the door." "Good." Ffloyd smiles. "Next you must tap on the window this code: Three taps, then pause, two taps, then pause, then one tap." "Three, two, one," you repeat. "If it is safe for Johnathan to join you, he will tap the same code backward. Since Jonathan does not know you, he will need some means of identi- fying you. When you meet, therfore, say the fol- lowing password: 'Liberty.' After that he will give you further directions." "Okay," you say, hoping you can remember all of this. "All right then, be off with you. And take care- this is a perilous business. I'll try to meet with you again soon." You rush to the barracks and find the third one.
