AN AXE MAN'S MISFORTUNE -
Mr. W. H. Chellis, the well known and popular axe man, had the misfortune to lose his youngest daughter yesterday morning, the cause of death being pneumonia. He arrived in Devonport on Monday with his wife and five week old child on a holiday, and the infant caught a cold, which unfortunately had a fatal termination. The funeral will take place this afternoon at the Bluff Cemetery at 2 o’clock
