Cadets
In Yarmouth, we only had the Cadet program, which was for anyone aged 11 to 15 (inclusive). The program is designed to meet the requirements of the Grand Prior's Award, and also give youth valuable life skills. In addition to this, youth members are given the opportunity to perform community service and patient care, provided that they are supervised by adult members and hold a valid Emergency First Aid certificate or higher.
The cadet program gave the chance for our cadets to learn first aid, and also to help out in their communities. They were also able to learn proficiencies to earn the Grand Prior's Badge (pictured below), if they had so wished. They also attended a few summer camps that were put on by the provincial head office at various locations in the province. Photos from some of the camps will be included below in the near future.

Over the years, we've had a number of cadets in our program. At one point we had a dozen (or more) active cadets, however due to a lack of interesty and other comitments, we ended up folding in the spring of 2006, with only 4 members (not including the leaders).
