Welcome To Krabi Province, Thailand |

Some beautiful beaches , but rather hot this time of year. Krabi lies to the east of Phuket and is on the Andaman Sea side. Was finally able to do some diving, and it was quite nice I must say! The snorkeling areas were not as nice as Sharm, but the dive sites are amazing. |

Fortunately, life is not all work and no play. Just wish it didnt take me so long to figure that one out this year. Krabi is one of the nicer areas of southern Thailand, with lots of rock formations shooting out of the water and of course, creating some beautiful, secluded beach fronts. Some have been developed into private resorts, charging as much as $1000 a night in the high season. There are also many caves and lagoons in this area, making it an ideal place for exploring or hiding out. You could easily spend a couple of weeks just cruising around the islands. |

Whats going on politically speaking.....
Well about the only major event was an outbreak of violence in downtown Bangkok in which rioters destroyed about 10 or 15 businesses, mostly Cambodian in response to the burning of the Thai embassy in Cambodia. Apparently, somebody had been fueling the tensions and implied that Ankorwat really belong to Thailand, which of course pissed of the Cambodians. After the riot, Thailand closed its boarders and began deporting illegals. (personally, Im more worried about whats going on in Korea than Iraq at this point) |

An isolated stretch of beach that connects two small islands. There is a bar on the other end for those who want to spend the day in comfort |
