Now I Praise God He Has Set Me Free
The day has come to the end of its course And I'm filled with sorrow and I'm filled with remorse. So when I lay down, I am full of strife and I no longer want another day in my life. I'm filled with anger and I'm filled with despair and the reason for being is no longer there. My sleep is come and brings sorrow my way; and I wish not to wake to face another day. But then the Lord came and said give your life to Me; all the rags of your life and the ashes I see. I want your sorrow; I want your despair; for I am your Savior and have always been there. So I gave Him my sorrow, turmoil and strife; I gave Him the ashes and the rags of my life. He took my anger and guilt from me; and now I praise God, He has set me free. I praise my Lord, for He has set me free. I'm no longer bound to misery. I'm beginning to live a brand new life; God gave me the victory in the place of my strife. I'm free from guilt, I'm free from shame, I'm free from bondage, and I praise His Name. The peace the He's given me I cannot explain; I thank You and praise You for the power in Your name. I have new freedom to live for my Lord; and I'll continue to grow as I read His Word. What He has done, He can do for you; just make that choice to serve Him, too. No other masters in control of your life; for too many masters give sorrow and strife. It is your choice, you are able to choose; so serve the Lord Jesus and you'll never lose. And now I praise God, He has set me free; I'm no longer bound and full of misery. For Jesus and I have the victory. Praise God, Praise God. I am free. copywrite 6/82 Sandy Seefeld

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed. A refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalms 9: 9-10
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:18-19
