Sepultura - Roots (1996) Reviewed on 8/15/04

Eh...

Nation: Brazil

Album Genre: Nu-Metal/Neo-Thrash

Pros: The traditional Brazilian music thrown lightens the mood of an otherwise bad album. Not much else to say. Decent drumming breakdowns as well. Oh, and not to mention despite members of Korn, Limp Bizkit and Mike Patton guest appearing on this album, it still crushes all the standard mid-90's nu-metal shit that plagued the country.

Cons: Go run to Soulfly Max, you're done here. This is not the Sepultura that made them into the thrash metal icons they are now.
