Pros: This is the band that Cradle of Filth wish they could be! Elvira Madigan is a one man powerhouse governed by some of the best blackened atmospheric music I have ever heard. Bands like The Gathering and Arcana take on the more serene sounds of Atmospheric music, and while Elvira's music is beautiful as well, the dark overtones are very apparent. There is aggression, nightmarish vocals...but all of this is over some beautifully melodic synth. To anyone with an open mind to both metal or just music in general, listening to this is an absolute must. Haunting, breathtaking, and just...beautiful all come to mind. This music is simply too rich to put into context. One must hear this to truly appreciate its brilliance.

Cons: The clean vocals could see improvement, but in no way do they hinder the overall feel of the music.
