Album Genre: Viking Metal

Pros: A finely orchestrated piece of metal that completely deserves the respect it gets in the metal community. Usually very few albums a year make it into the hearts and minds of metalheads almost universally. In 2003, one of those albums was indeed Blot. It took me awhile to really appreciate this album, and while its not one of my favorites, it is still a standout album.

Cons: Can become a bit repetitive. Those without alot of patience should listen to this album in chunks to truly absorb its beauty.
