Children of Bodom - Hate Crew Deathroll (2003) Reviewed on 8/6/04

Vewy Good

Nation: Finland

Album Genre: Power Metal

Pros: Children of Bodom seem to be one of those bands that can do wrong when it comes to the output of their albums. Much like the tried and true bands like Maiden and Priest, CoB takes their own aggressive flavor of power metal and makes it undeniably theirs by keeping track of that sound album after album. Despite keeping the same sound, CoB's pure talent level, and maximum output really makes the listener appreciate the musical craft of Hate Crew Deathroll and all the previous CoB releases. Highlights on this album include "Needled 24/7", "Angels Don't Kill" and "You're Better Off Dead."

Cons: None really worth mentioning.
