Black Sabbath - Paranoid (1970) Reviewed on 8/6/04

Mandatory Ownage

Nation: United Kingdom

Album Genre: Doom Metal

Pros: Wow...what can be said about this album? This is arguably the best album from the band that created heavy metal. With tracks like "Fairies Where Boots", "War Pigs", "Iron Man", "Electric Funeral"...hell ALL the tracks are memorable from start to finish! This album left every other band that was out at the time in the dust INCLUDING the almighty Led Zeppelin! Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, Tony Iommi, and to a lesser extent Ozzy Osbourne, really brought to the forefront how rock and roll could be revolutionized by creating an entirely new spin off. Why people like Eric Clapton and The Who were recognized by the Hall of Fame before Sabbath is beyond me.

Cons: I would have to have my testicles removed if I wrote anything worth while in this section.
