Agent Steel - Omega Conspiracy (1999) Reviewed on 2/1/05

Good

Nation: United States

Album Genre: Speed Metal

Pros: So this is the comeback album for one of the famed bay area bands of the 80's? Well, I must say that I enjoy this album, but I think the hype is borderline criminal when it comes to this thing. Don't get get me wrong, this is quite the catchy album, but there is nothing spectacular about it (and I don't particularly care for the vocals either). Not much I can say besides that its an average speed/thrash album with nothing stand out about it. Maybe I should give their earlier material a listen for a better comparison maybe. "Know Your Master" and "Into the Nowhere" are the highlights of the album.

Cons: The vocals are quite poor on this album, to the point where it ruins the potential for the actual music. This is quite the pitym because instrumentally, with a better vocalist, this album could have been alot better.
