| An icon that epitomizes Seattle is the Space Needle. A 600ft (180m) rocket styled observation station and restaurant. After the 41-second ride up its elevators to the top, one would be treated to breathtaking 360 degrees views. Only one of us made the trip up to the top of the Space Needle.;p Guess who? |

| One of my favourites in Seattle. Yep...if you havent' already guessed by now, I'm more a market, hypermart kind of person. :p Fairs, carnivals and pasar malams are quite my favourites..:) I really had a lot of fun seeing all the fresh produce that were sold in the markets. Found it to be really interesting as many of the thigns sold there could not be found in Singapore and vice versa, the types of seafood and greens that I am used to seeing the markets over here could not be found there. In addition to fresh produce, there were also many quaint shops that could be found in the market. Of particular interest to us was a magic shop. The owner of the shop was probably a magician and we found it really intriguing when he suprised us with many tricks that were performed using the gadgets that could be bought in his shop! Needless to say, some of us made a few purchases from his shop and from then on, we kind of got hooked on a kind of rubber band trick, all the way till the end of the trip :)
