Marcus Buckingham posed the following question in his book NOW DISCOVER YOUR STRENGTHS;

What are the two assumptions on which great organizations must be built?

1. Each person's talents are enduring and unique

2. Each person's greatest room for growth is in the areas of his or her greatest strength

(Buckingham 2001 p.8).

my strengths

Results from the 'StrengthsFinder' assessment offers a unique insight into my normal personality from the perspective of positive psychology (Buckingham 2001 p.248). These results come in the form of five dominant themes of talent, 'my signature themes'.

  • arranger
  • achiever
  • focus
  • empathy

Each of the above themes are an indication of my natural recurring pattern of thought, feeling, or behaviour. Are they sexy? No! but the dymanics of these themes are powerful and would complement any team or organisation.
