After buying a Duff World Records book, Homer tried to create a record of his own. Realizing that he alone couldn't achieve getting a record, he decided to get the town to help. The town made the biggest human pyramid, but they had to hold it for three Mississippi seconds for the record to stand. At the last second the pyramid fell through resulting in a giant ball of people to start rolling throughout the town. The human ball finally landed on a giant scale. When the people from the Duff Record Book saw how much the town weighed, they declared Springfield, the world's fattest town. Marge researched the situation to find out that all of Springfield's foods are loaded with sugar and that they come from the Motherloving Food Company. Marge went to complain to the head of the Motherloving Food Company, Garth Motherloving, only to find out that he was a big jerk and wouldn't listen to her. She then started a petition to sue the Motherloving Food Company and the whole town signed it. The judge ruled in favor of Marge and Springfield, but declared that all sweets were banned from Springfield, something Marge didn't plan on happening. Soon the town went into shock after loosing all their sugar. Homer was asked to join a small smuggling group to go an island to get sugar to bring into Springfield Harbour. He got Bart's approval, and never told Marge. When Lisa found out about the plan, she disagreed at first, but after hearing Marge say that dessert that night would be steamed limes, she said to Homer, "God Speed."
