The Springfield Republicans invoke a new policy that repeals all environmental laws. Acid rain results and drives families inside. The Simpsons start a Monopoly game which soon turns violent and the police are soon on the scene. A social worker named Gabriel starts to work with the family on their problem. They don't fair too well at first but in a situation where they must save Gabriel's life, the family comes together. They think that their problems are over, but really they are just beginning because when they come home they are surprised to find Amber and Ginger, the two women that Homer and Ned Flanders married in Las Vegas, (see Viva Ned Flanders). Homer tries to get an annullment, but Judge Constance Harm says that biggamy is legal in Nevada so he must take care of both his wives. Marge then kicks him out of the house and he starts living in Bart's treehouse with Amber. After a few days, Marge feels sorry for Homer so invites him in the house to talk and they come up with a plan to get rid of Amber. Homer takes Amber out around the town, gets her drunk and then gets her married to Abe (Grandpa). When Amber finds out she married Grandpa she decides to leave Springfield and go back to Vegas. Grandpa is upset for a minute and then forgets he was even married at all. Meanwhile, Ned tries to make Ginger a part of the family, but she can't stand him because he's too goody-goody so she makes a run for Vegas too.
NOTE: Marge mentions in the episode that they've had some 280 adventures together as a family. While this is the 276th adventure aired, it is most likely (if not indeed) the 280th episode that was produced.
Jane Kaczmarek guest stars as the voice of Judge Constance Harm and Delroy Lindo guest stars as Gabriel.
