| Andrew and His stash of Fireworks! HANABE!! (THis was the 6th time we have done firworks! | EATING ICECREAM LATE AT NIGHT!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hello everyone! WEll, sorry that I didn't write yesturday. I didn't feel like it. I was having a relaxing night just sitting up and talking with Pajai and Naoto. WEll, today was a crazy day! We woke up at 9 in the morning to practice our drama, it was fun. We were going to do a drama tonight but we didn't end up doing anything. ANyway, after we practiced we ate some saugeges and went to the Sakata station to pick up the Sato family. They are from Arizona and they did a concert here tongiht! It was great! They speak english fluently so it was nice to have someone to speak english with. THeir twelve year old daughter Mindy and I decorated Sotaros guitar case with paints it looked so tight! Um, so anyways, then We just kind of did random things until 7:00 when we were suposed to start reherseing for the show and the order of how things were going to go. Kari and Rei were suposed to do a flute and piano duet, then Pajai, Sotaro, Naoto and I were suposed to sing Shout to the Lord and then we were going to do our drama, the Sinbag. Well, Kari burnt her hand and lost her voice, so she couldn:t sing or play the flute. Then Rei counldn't get to the church early enough. SO they couldn't do that and Andrew got sick so he couldn't be in the drama, so we ended up only singing shout to the lord. IT was good though, because the boys sounded really good and Pa and I did an okay job. We were really okay with it, the Lord knew what he was going to do and it worked out just fine. Just goes to show you that you can't ever really set anything in stone on a mission trip. Tonight during the service God touched each one of us in different ways. I don't really know about my teamates but I know that he spoke to me. He totally made me question whether this is what I should be doing for the rest of my life. I don't mean being a full on missionary, but I mean being an english teacher in Japan and helping the chruch while I am at it. I was telling my team that it feels so right here, I feel like I am at home. I told them that there are two problems I have with the Japanese culture and that is public showers and the squating toilets, but I could really get over that! I don't know, don't anyone get scared, I still have four years of college. Well, here are some pictues, of the last two days. I am having so much fun, and I can't wait to see what else God has in store for me!! Bye |
