"I'm not saying that," Mike said, "I'm just asking because people claim they saw you outside the diner last night." Afraid to say anything Sam sat down across from Rudy. Mike just stood by the door waiting for his sister to answer him. Sam thought to herself if my own brother thinks I'm capable of murder what would stop everyone else.

Rudy asked her, "Were you outside the diner last night after it closed?" Not wanting to have to answer the question Sam said, "I can't believe you think I did this."

Rudy replied, "No one is saying that. We just need to get all the facts." Before Sam had time to protest further Rudy's secretary entered the room and said to him "There is someone out here to see you." "Okay" Rudy said and then turned to Sam and said "I'll be back in a minute."

As soon as Rudy was out of the room Mike said "Why don't you just answer the question?" "Because I was there," Sam said. Sam then went on to explain that she had just stopped because she wanted to talk to Zane but since no one answered the door she went home. Mike told Sam "You need to tell Rudy the truth. Your only making yourself look guilty."

When Rudy came back in he said, "Shall we try this again?" Sam just nodded her head. Rudy asked her a bunch of question about the day before and he asked her why a cook from the diner said that he saw her staring at Hazel for a long time just a few days ago. Sam told him about Zane helping his mother out and her just waiting for him to get done. When they were all finished Rudy said to her "You are not to leave Glory until we solve this." Sam asked, "Do you mean I'm still a suspect." Rudy didn't bother answering her.

As she left she went to the room where Zane had been but he was already gone. As she made her way to the front of the police station she ran into Mike. She asked him, "Do you know where Zane is? I really need to talk to him." Mike replied, "I think he is going to be staying with his friend Jacob for awhile." "Thanks," Sam said and turned to leave. When she got to the lobby of the station she saw that half the town had crowded into to get the lasted news on what happened.

As she walked past them she could her them whispering things like, �There�s the girl that killed her.", and "Everybody always thought she was so innocent but I knew she was bad news.", and other things to that effect. News travels fast in Glory even if it is not true, Sam thought. When she finally made it to the door going outside she heard someone yell, "You're letting her go?"
