My favourite poetry

and that's really all there is to say about this page. I originally intended to include some of my own poetry (yes, I DO write), and then thought the better of it... I decided to listen to the advice of Alexander Pope:

Sir, I abide by your general rule
That every poet is a fool
But Sir you may not know it
Every fool is not a poet!

Oooops, did I call myself a fool there...? Anyway, you'll be better off not having read my poetry, and rather settle for some great poetry by authors I adore. These are poems that appeal to me for some reason or other, and I hope that you will like them as well! Some of the poems are not originally written in English. The links on this page are to the original versions of the poems, but you will find links to translations by yours truly. And of course: There are a lot of great poetry out there that I haven't put on this page! If there are any in particular that you miss, send me a message, and I'll see what I can do about it ;o)
Enjoy!
