Where:Universite de Montreal's Cepsum.
Opening bands:30 seconds to mars and Seether
Review:30 seconds to mars started the night off with an okay performance. The music wasn't too great but lead singer Jared Leto(who also doubles as an actor, you may have seen him in fight club and Lord of War)was very charismatic and got the crowd pumped.During one song,he even dove into the crowd!!Seether then followed.lead singer Shawn Morgan was the opposite of Leto.He stood still for most of the time, with his long red hair hiding his face.It was uncanny:his voice sounded exactly like Kurt Cobain, which is why I wasn't surprised when they closed off their set with a rendition of Nirvana's "Drain you".It was an hour before Audioslave finally took the stage. They started off the night with "Your time has come". Frontman Chris Cornell then adressed the crowd:"Bonsoir montreal!!tonight is gonna be a night of past, present, and future!!".And it was, as they played songs from Soundgarden,Rage against the machine and their newest album they're presently working on.Chris Cornell was energetic and  pumped up,jumping onto the speakers, taking command of the stage, even going into little comedy routines in between songs. The encore started off with Chris Cornell taking the stage alone in front of a starry night backdrop and giving out an accoustic rendition of "Black hole sun" from the old days of Soundgarden,a french song and "I am the highway",in wich the rest of the band joined him on stage in the middle of the song to finish it off. After that, they played "Killing in the name"from Rage, and they closed off the night with Audioslave's most famous song "Cochise".The concert was nothing short of brilliant,it's no wonder their known as one of the best live acts around.Review:****1/2
