Audioslave reveal information on new album
Audioslave's guitarist Tom Morello has said the upcoming Audioslave album will be the band's hardest-rocking album and will sound like "Led Zeppelin meets Earth wind and fire".Morello also said the new album will give its listeners a chance to "shake their asses" as the band is incorporating elements of good ol' fashioned funk to their music. Vocalist Chris Cornell added that this record will have a very different feel from their previous works, going on to say that it will showcase his love of r&b ,especially in the song "Broken City",in which he gets inspiration from his favorite singer,Stevie Wonder. In an interview with rollingstone.com, Cornell said"My vocal cadence (on this album) is different, and with this band,we have the ability to go into a more soul', r&b direction and have it be authentic. It's very exciting."Audioslave is made up of the lead singer of grundge band Soundgarden, and the musicians of the popular rap group Rage against the machine. The new album is expected to come out sometime in June.
