CATARACT GORGE: Take a walk in the wilderness in the city! The Cataract Gorge Reserve reaches almost to the middle of the city of  Launceston. Walk along a rushing river through a dramatic rocky gorge surrounded by beautiful natural bushland. You’ll emerge from the narrow part of  the gorge into an elegant Victorian park with tree rhododendrons, fern glades, a swimming pool, a chairlift, barbecues, a suspension bridge and mewing peacocks. (The chairlift is the longest single-span chairlift in the world.) Walk back to the city on the other side of the river, through bushland, and think about joining one of the whitewater rafting or rock-climbing adventures in the gorge, or go hang-gliding at nearby Trevallyn.

Take an escorted Historic Hobart Walk, or a self-guided walking tour around the heritage sandstone buildings including the Commissariat Store, Parliament House and the Court House.

The Theatre Royal is situated at 29 Campbell Street Hobart., Australia’s oldest theatre and one of the nation's most beautiful cultural treasures. Visit Tasmania's Tahune Airwalk 

Tasmania is one of the few destinations world-wide to offer a spectacular treetops walkway. The attraction is one of only a few fixed structure canopy walkways internationally and provides a birds-eye view of the southern forests, the local mountain range and the Tasmanian World Heritage Area.

Not even the birds get a better view of the forest when you take the Tahune Forest Air Walk.  The Air Walk is 570 metres long and is between 25 and 45 metres high among the treetops.
