FRAMEWORK FOR DEMOCRACY

FRAMEWORK FOR DEMOCRACY is a one-semester government survey course that will explain the nature and scope of the purpose, the structure, and the organization of the national government.  The series will explore contemporary issues through interviews with national experts and a variety of political figures and documentary footage.  Topics include diversity, crime and pollution problem solving, food safety, and flight safety.  Students will acquire an understanding of problems solved through intergovernmental relations in the system of federalism, and develop knowledge about the potential for individual involvement in the political community
