Part I:
Sonic has a dream about Uncle Chuck and the chili dogs he used to make.
When Sonic chews on his sneakers, Sally wakes him up. Sonic is upset
and tells Sally how he has failed to save his uncle. Meanwhile, Robotnik
prepares to test the Transdimensional Transporter (which he once used on
Sally's father) on Uncle Chuck. Although Snively warns that other tests
must first be completed, Robotnik activates the machine and becomes trapped
in The Void. Robotnik orders that Snively brings him back, but Snively
says he's tired of Robotnik's attempts to capture Sonic. Snively
leaves the room, unaware of a side effect that happened to Uncle Chuck.
Part II:
Sonic sits at Uncle Chuck's old chili dog stand in Robotropolis.
Suddenly Uncle Chuck appears and says he has to tell Sonic something.
When the two are in Knothole, the freedom fighters munch on Uncle Chuck's
chili dogs as Uncle Chuck informs them of the Transdimensional Transporter
and Snively's rise to power. Nicole informs everyone that Snively
will most likely cause the destruction of the planet. Uncle Chuck says
there is still a chance since he can act as a spy.
Back in Robotropolis, Snively has changed into a smaller version of
Robotnik's clothes. Snively then explains to Robotnik (through a
monitor) that he plans to take a smaller version of the Transdimensional
Transporter and attach it to a plane. Then different sections of
Mobius will be sucked into The Void. As Robotnik protests, Snively
instructs Uncle Chuck to deliver the plans to the units responsible for
building the plane. Afterwards, Sonic meets Uncle Chuck to learn the
location of the planes. As Sonic speeds through the hangar, he is
surrounded by a light.
Part III:
Snively communicates through a monitor, informing Sonic that he is trapped
in The Void. Snively demonstrates the power of the Transdimensional
Transporter by zapping a forest in The Void. Suddenly a 'bot plane
appears and starts shooting at Snively's plane. Uncle Chuck says that
he will try and minimize the damage Snively will be able to do, and a voice
tells him to hit Snively's back thrusters, forcing him to land. Snively
dodges the fire; so Sonic distracts him by eating two chili dogs at once.
Uncle Chuck fires at the thrusters and stops the plane. Snively decides
to destroy the plane and the Transdimensional Transporter, which will send
everything within a 100 mile radius into The Void. Sonic says Snively
is crazy, but Snively says he isn't because he is wearing a device that will
let him escape from The Void. Robotnik crashes through the ceiling
and tells Snively that Uncle Chuck released him from The Void in return for
promising not to harm Snively and the freedom fighters. After Robotnik
yells at Snively, he orders Snively to change clothes. Days later Sonic
tells Uncle Chuck that they'll change him back to his old self. Uncle
Chuck says the only thing he wants to change is his apron and tells Sonic
that he's had enough chili dogs.
"Who Keeps Stealing My Chaos Emeralds?!"
Script: Paul Castigila
Pencils: Pat Spaziante
Inks: Brian Thomas
Robotnik is upset after his computer surveillance system show images
of a shadowy figure that looks like an anteater. He orders Coconuts
to go to a secret island base and protect the rest of the emeralds.
Coconuts sees the figure and waits for his traps (from a book he got from
a coyote friend) to work. The figure manages to avoid all of the traps
while Coconuts falls into each trap. Robotnik is furious and destroys
Coconuts. Back at Knothole, Bunnie asks if her emeralds will be a
hit at tonight's dance. Sally says they should be after all of the
trouble Bunnie went through to get them.

Operation: Castaways can begin. The Floating Island will be the place,
and Robotnik looks over any obstacles he may face.
