Part I:
Robotnik reveals his "ultimate evil robot":  Pseudo-Sonic.  Pseudo-Sonic has Sonic's speed and resembles Sonic.  Meanwhile, Sonic leaves Knothole to pick Sally some flowers.  He begins to pick some flowers when Betty Butterfly tells him that he's picking poison sumac blossoms.  Sonic says that he's allergic to it, scratches wildly, and becomes swollen.  Pseudo-Sonic makes his way toward Knothole, and Antoine lets him in through the tree stump entrance.  When Pseudo-Sonic reaches the inside, everybody gasps at the sight of a robot Sonic look-alike.  Pseudo-Sonic prepares to send Robotnik the coordinates of Knothole.

Part II:
As Pseudo-Sonic sends the coordinates to Robotnik, technical difficulties occur.  Tails has created a static-electric field, which causes Pseudo-Sonic to explode.  Rotor takes Pseudo-Sonic into his shop to analyze it.  Meanwhile, Sonic starts to crawl to the Great Forest.  Robotnik begins to attack Sonic, but Bunnie appears.  She picks Robotnik up and throws him back to Robotropolis.  In order to stop Sonic's rash, she covers him in ointment.  The two walk back to Knothole, and Rotor places a trash can outside.  (Pseudo-Sonic asks for a sequel--if readers will write in about it.)

Script:  Angelo Decesare
Pencils:  Dave Manak
Inker:  Henry Scarpelli

Sonic needs to find Sally a birthday present, and a Mobian Needle Bird (half bird and half porcupine) falls on his head.  Sonic finds out that the bird's wing is injured and feeds it some needle berries.  Since Sally loves animals, Sonic names the bird Thorny and decides that Thorny should be Sally's birthday present.

At Knothole, Sally is upset with the bird.  She says that Sonic has brought animals in the past that caused problems.  They all turn to find Thorny eating Sally's needle berry cake.  Sally yells at Sonic and tells him to get rid of the bird.  She then storms off to pick more berries.  Sonic finds Thorny a home and then hears a scream.  Sally has been captured by a tree (a trap by Robotnik).  Sonic runs toward Sally and almost gets captured by a tree.  Thorny picks Sonic up and they fly toward Sally.  Sonic cuts off the limb.  Robotnik tells them to freeze, but Thorny shoots needles at Robotnik.  As Robotnik runs away, Sonic announces that Thorny will be an honorary freedom fighter.
