Information: Steppenwolf is the son of Edmund. When his father was tragically killed, Christopheles helped train Steppenwolf so that Steppenwolf would not have the same fate as his father. Steppenwolf tried to make peace with the Dark Legion and at this time discovered that his cousin, Menniker, was their leader. Using his link with the Chaos Emerald, Steppenwolf was able to put a stop to Menniker and the Dark Legion. (Steppenwolf’s ancestor, Knuckles the Echidna, would later encounter the Dark Legion.) The fire-ants later created Haven for Steppenwolf as a place to perform his duties as guardian of the Floating Island.
