Information: Edmund and his brother Dimitri are ancestors of the supreme technologist that helped save the Echidnaopolis from destruction. They both monitored the energy of the Chaos Emeralds responsible for keeping the Floating Island aloft. Edmund demonstrated a plan to return the Floating Island to the ground by using a Chaos Syphon to gradually drain the energy from the emeralds.
After Dimitri abused the power of the Chaos Syphon, he was trapped under the rubble now known as Mount Fate. In order to protect the Chaos Emerald, Edmund became the first guardian of the Floating Island.
