Background: Knuckles inherited his duty as the guardian of Angel Island (Floating Island). Before he was born, Knuckles’ father Locke used Chaos radiation to enhance Knuckles abilities. As Knuckles grew, his intelligence and abilities developed quickly. Locke carefully trained Knuckles and when Knuckles was ten, Locke left to join the Brotherhood (composed of previous guardians).
Knuckles assumed the role of guardian and soon befriended Catweazle, Vector the Crocodile, Charmy Bee, Espio the Chameleon, and Mighty the Armadillo. A fire ant named Archimedes soon became Knuckles’ mentor. Archimedes’ wisdom proved valuable and he helped Knuckles defeat foes such as Dimitri (a.k.a. Enerjak ) and the Dark Legion.
