Information: Hawking is Knuckles the Echidna’s grandfather, seven generations removed. In order to save his people from the missiles sent by the dingoes, Hawking used the technology sealed in Edmund’s time. However, the radioactive debris was harmful to the inhabitants of the island. Hawking studied Dimitri’s notes and created a Hyper Zone Projector, which allowed the echidnas (and dingoes) to live in a separate zone. Around 200 years later, when the barrier of the various zones weakened, Hawking took again action to help protect everyone.
