Chapter 37 Continued
"No problem", said Lavender, and she slid back into her room. Harry grinned and raced down the stairs. Everyone waved and said "Happy Christmas Harry!" but he didn't stop to say the same though he wanted to. He had to find Christina.
He raced down to the Great Hall and to the spot where they normally sat together for breakfast but she was no where to be found at the whole of the Gryffindor table. Harry sighed thinking he'd have to wait until she found him when Hagrid came striding up to him.
"Happy Christmas Harry! Did ya get my gift I sent ya?"
"Yes, thank you Hagrid."
"You look a little frantic Harry, anythin' wrong?"
"Um....yes, have you seen Christina anywhere?"
"Why I sure have, she's been in the library readin' all mornin'."
Harry, relieved, thanked Hagrid and ran off towards the library. He stopped just before the door as Madame Pince didn't approve of running in the library and slowly tip toed his way around the shelves and tables looking for any sign of Christina. He was in the Transfiguration section when he heard a voice from behind him call his name.
"Harry! Meet me in the back."
"Christina?"
Silence....
Harry followed the footsteps towards the back of the library near the restricted section. He stopped in the shadows of the bookshelves and looked around for any sign of life. All of a sudden he was grabbed around the waist and pulled into the darkness. Someone shoved their lips against his and kissed him passionately. Harry's eyes almost popped out of his head. He pushed him self outwards into the light. Out of the darkness stepped Cho Chang. Harry's jaw dropped.
"Cho?"
"Who else would it be silly?"
She stepped closer to him and tried to wrap her arms around his neck but he pushed her away.
"No Cho, what about Micheal Corner?"
"Oh we broke up like forever ago! I want YOU now Harry."
She tried to kiss him again but he dodged her lips.
"Cho! I'm going out with Christina now!"
"But don't you still like me Harry?"
"I don't like you like that any more.", whispered Harry.
"I can fix that."
"No! Please, don't. I've gotta go find Christina now Cho. It was nice...erm...talking to you."
Harry began to turn around but Cho grabbed him by the shoulder and whispered into his ear, "You'll come back to me Harry, I know you will."
Harry pulled out of her grip and stomped out of the library with a heavy heart.
'What if Christina finds out? She'll never be able to trust me, but it wasn't my fault!'
He kept thinking about it until he entered the Entrance Hall again and spotted Christina exiting the Great Hall. She ran to him and threw her arms around his neck and he swung her around in a circle then gently planted a kiss on her lips. Christina grinned and returned the favor. Harry placed her on her feet and then remembered her gift.
"Come with me.", he whispered.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see."
Harry led her to his little hide out, the Room of Requirement to be precise. They walked three times in front of it then opened the door. Inside was a candle lit room with Christmas decorations everywhere and somewhere there was the sound of Christmas carols being sung. Christina was delighted and smiled as she walked about the room.
"Harry this is absolutely magnificent!"
"I'm glad you think so. Christina, I have something to give you."
She stopped in the middle of the room and looked at him.
"What is it?"
Harry pulled the box and card from out of his robe.
"Here, this is for you."
Christina reached for the card and opened it first. Harry saw tears begin to fall from her eyes. He walked behind her and put his arms around her waist and began to read what he had written 3 weeks before.
My love and my hope
My dreams and my sorrow
You are what gets me to tomarrow
May you never change Christina
And I hope that we will be together forever
Love,
Harry

Christina turned around and hugged Harry. Then he handed her the golden box. She opened it slowly. Inside was a silver locket with a blue flower on the front. She opened it up and inside there was a picture of Harry, Christina, and on the middle frame was Sirius. Christina began to cry but Harry came over and wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Don't you like it?"
"I LOVE it! I'm so...so...happy!"
Christina sobbed even harder but Harry held her the whole time.
That night the two went to the Christmas feast together, both adorned with ring and locket. While Harry ate his dinner and held Christina's hand at the same time he thought that that Christmas was the best he ever had......besides the whole Cho thing.....but he wouldn't think of that. For now.
