Random Poetry
in my life I've had
too many sleepless nights;
too many dreams of
para-dise.

I stuffed towels under my doors
to keep the reality from seeping in

it's dusty here
and too morose

I think I might fall out my window
one of these days,
and take to the sky.

the ground quakes under my feet here.
I think I've forgotten what it was
that used to hold me up.

The Swan Princess Poem
Poem based on the story of Swan Lake. Slightly confusing at parts. It's one of the few poems I've ever written that rhymes. So...that's something.
Dizzy
An older poem, hideously free verse but still breathlessly effective. (Try reading it to yourself out loud quickly, and you'll see what I mean by "breathless.")
Sleepless
Title's pretty self explanatory. I couldn't sleep, so instead I wrote this poem.
Cheap Motel
Another sleepless night, in an entirely different setting.
If you made it past that, you can handle some of this.
First Heartbreak
Five-stanza ghazal expressing the emptiness of heartbreak.
Resolution
A Sestina. Don't really have a good summary for this.
Ink Run
A poem about...um, writing poetry.
Last Resort Stand
Because growing up isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Finding Yesterday
This is me saying good-bye to high school.
It's A Good Thing We Have So Much Media Censorship These Days, to Protect our Kids From all the Violence.
I think the title pretty much says it all.
