| I HATE asparagus. At least I think I do. I'm not sure that I've ever had asparagus, but it's a green vegetable, so I hate it on principle. As a direct result of this distaste for green vegetables, I am anemic. Apparently, green vegetables contain a lot of iron, which for some reason is important, so now I have to drink lots of water and take multivitamins with iron every day. I usually don't remember to do this, and as a result the dizzy spells keep coming back. This probably isn't the best sign. |
| My parents undoubtedly would attribute this forgetfulness to my being away at college, but that's not really true. I never took the vitamins when I was living at home, either. But ah, well. On to other things. I'm eighteen, for the time being, and feel very old and terribly young at the same time. Of course I am not very old, and know a great deal of people who would probably be very offended/roll their eyes at the suggestion that I am in any way old. But I've waited my whole life to get to this point, see, and it sounds kind of old to me. I'm certainly not a child anymore. But I'm not really a woman either. I'm just a girl, I guess, drifting along hoping I'll be able to make sense out of everything sooner or later. (How cliche is that? And how sad is it that I can't put an accent on the "e" in cliche?) I like writing. I've been writing stories and short plays since the second grade. Writing is the only thing I've ever really wanted to do, and the only obsession of mine I've stuck with for so long...besides reading of course. If I can just figure out how to make myself stop procrastinating (by doing things like...watching football and making websites), I'm sure I'll get very serious about writing, and one day I'll write something worth reading. But for now I'll just muddle along in my usual fashion and write things I don't really like for my creative writing classes instead. |
