Our
Kiwanis Club has been an important part of Sidney and the Saanich
Peninsula since 1974. We have fun, whether we’re flipping pancakes,
sharing jokes at a meeting, or wrapping toys for our Christmas Toy
Drive. In recent years our club has been involved with the following

While
Kiwanis projects address a variety of community needs, projects helping
young children (ages 0 to 5) are especially encouraged through a Young
Children: Priority One program. Kiwanis is leading a world-wide project
to eliminate iodine deficiency disorders, the leading preventable cause
of mental disability and goitre. Kiwanis, in partnership with UNICEF,
is building salt iodization plants around the world.
