- 20公里競走賽暨2小時計時賽 (20K race walking time trials and 2-Hour Races)
9月20日(星期六)我們將舉行本年度首場的20公里競走賽*暨2小時計時賽**，下午4時開始在沙田圓洲角公園正門外的單車徑進行。
計時賽不收報名費，唯每名參加者需在當天報到時繳付20元作為購買飲品之用。
到時，將因應天氣的情況，選擇一適當位置設置簡單之水站。當然，如你能自備飲品就更理想了。
有興趣參加的朋友，請在9月17日(星期三)下午5時前以電郵連同回條傳給Echo。
There will be two 20K race walking time trials and 2-Hour Races this year.
The first one is on September 20, 2008 at the Yuen Chau Kok Park cycling track, Shatin starting at 4:00pm.
There will be no entry fee, but each walker will be expected to contribute $20- to buy some drinks.
A water station will be provided, but walkers can also bring their own drinks to put on the "table".
If you plan to attend, please send an email together with the reply slip to Echo before 5:00PM on Wednesday September 17.

- Asia Veterans Championship
While waiting for the start of Olympic track, consider (if you're over 34) entering the Asia Veterans Championship in Chiang Mai, Thailand December 1-5.
This is a week-long track meet with competition in 5-year age groups in all the usual track and field events up to 5000m.
There will be a steeplechase, a pole vault, a 5000m walk and a hammer throw, but no heptathlon or decathlon.
There will be no road race or cross country. Details are available here.
Our local deadline for entries will be in 2 weeks, on Thursday August 21.
