LOCATION OF THE SCHOOL

     The Sacred Heart Secondary School (SHS) is located around 2 kilometers away from the city centre. It is a perfect place for a school as there is a number of residential areas in the range of about 2-3 kilometers where students are mostly found. The school is built on a swampy area, which is a reason why the ground sinking condition happened recently.

     There is a few obvious landmarks situated around the school. A Shell refueling station is located just opposite of the school. The Oya Roundabout and the cross road connecting the Pedada Road and the Oya Road are situated at the sides of the school while the Saint Elizabeth Secondary School is situated just behind the SHS.
