You and your friends are totally psyched for the summer youth camp. You have the camp fee right in your hands and the waiver was already signed by your parents. Now what? Two weeks to go and you have so many other things to do. How will you prepare for the camp with time management and organization? Don't fret peeps. Here's a simple yet useful guide on how to get ready for the camp. Just read on, and hopefully this will help. 14 days -- Create a preliminary list of your things to bring and to buy. Have a budget of your expenses for shopping and transportation (any expense related to the camp). 12 days -- Today is details day. Scan through your shopping list and check if there are any unnecessary items to buy. If possible, canvass the respective prices of the items to determine how much money you may spend. Then make a final draft of your shopping list. BTW, if possible, confirm if there are any canteens or snack bars at the camp site. With this, you can minimize your shopping expenses and lessen the load in your travelling bag. You can shop for snacks though, but good for travel time only. 10 days -- Another details day. But this time, you will scan your things-to-bring list. Just like what you did with your shopping list, check if there are any unnecessary items to bring. Check how much stuff can be occupied in your travelling bag such as clothes, shoes, etc. Select the best of your casual and formal wear. If you are required to bring blanket and pillow, be sure they are easy-to-carry or won't occupy much space in your travelling bag. 9-6 days -- Laundry period! Wash and iron your pang-japorms for the dinner date. Select your best sports attire and swimwear, and wash them if you they haven't worn for months. For casual wear, make sure they will make you feel comfortable, decent and but looked cool. Clean your shoes as well your easy-to-carry pillow and blanket. Get your travelling bag out of your closet and clean it also. 5 days -- Make today a shopping day! What to bring? Of course, your money and the shopping list. You can bring your friends, cousins, sibs or your significant other *_* (especially if they will also attend the camp). For total savings, have your meal in your home and eat the right amount to have the energy to invade the mall. Enjoy shopping! ^_^ 4 days -- Pack-up day! Start occupying yur travelling bag with the blanket, your clothes, undies, hankies, towels and shoes. Don't forget to include a medium or large plastic bag for the clothes you have used during five days. Have a separate bag or knapsack for for your accessories and other stuff (in short - mga kikay mo or yung bahay mo!) ^_^ Don't forget to include your Bible, money and the waiver. If you will bring some valuables such as your cellphone and silverworks, place them securely in your knapsack. Always keep an eye on them especially if they are worth your one year school allowance! 3 days -- If you are 99.9% ready for the big day while your friends are still preparing, it's time for you to give them a helping hand. You can join them in their shopping or help them in packing up their things. But if things are A-OK then, you can relax for a while. Read, watch TV, or listen to great music. Have a schedule of activities for the night before departure. 2 days -- This is optional. But this is a plus for you if you have a PC right in your home. Just stay online to your heart's content. Send email or leave notes on your kada's online message board or much better if you can chat with them. Tell them you won't be online for the next week due to camp (and tell them you'll miss them too ^_^). This is another plus. If you know anything about basic webpage design, why not try to draft your camp homepage? This is a good way to remember the most enjoying five days of your summer vacation. 1 day -- By this time, you are 101% prepared. Just R-E-L-A-X. Enjoy your 24 hours before the camp. If your friends or cousins will spend the night in your place, you can have your sleepover, though you still need some rest. You can have talks about your camp expectations or listen to music, watch home videos (preferrably camp footages) or hit the controls of your bro's playstation. Of course, just make sure you won't disturb all those people who are peacefully sleeping. Take the-night-before-camp snapshots or videos for a good start. the BIG DAY!!!! -- If you didn't have any sleep, refresh yourself with a warm bath. Grab a heavy breakfast to keep you alert and awake during travel time. Help your friends in loading their luggages in the jeep or van. And don't forget to PRAY before leaving your home. Ask Him for guidance and safety all the way to the campsite, as well as enjoyment for five whole days. Well, there you have it peeps. Actually, it was my dad who received the call since I was still out of the house then. This company's asking me to go to their office by Wednesday for a job interview! Of course, I'm glad that they are interested in me. But on the other hand, I'm also nervous. This is the first time I'll be interviewed for a job. I just hope di lang ako magkalat. I mean, wag sana akong magkulang sa reaksyon at baka kung anu-ano ang mga masasabi ko sa interview. wahehehehehehe... ^_^ Anyway, at least meron din naman akong mga accomplishment this week. In fact, marami na akong nagawa! Siguro hinay-hinay muna ako at paghandaan ko naman ang youth camp, which is only a week away! Eh di pa talaga ako prepared kasi akala ko I won't make it. That's because of school activities for seniors and the funds. But now, everything's clear. Kaya pwedeng pwede na ako maghanda. The thing is, siguradong magka-cram ako kasi one week na lang ang palugid ko. Waaahhh! Dapat two weeks kasi ang time frame ko to prepare everything. But I'm getting used to it. Kasi gusto kong magka-boyfriend ka na eh! ehehehehehehe... ^^;; I wish na you continue to improve your art skills. Bakit ba kasi ayaw mong mag-hangad na maging isang tanyag na animator? Eh, may pera ka ngang makukuha doon. Malay mo, maganda pa sa 3310 ang mabili mong cellphone. (ha! talunin daw ba ako!) At yayaman pa tayo ha! Basta, kung ano ang ipapasuot ko sa yo sa JS prom mo next year, isuot mo ha! Kung gusto mo talaga ng 3310!
