Welcome to Edge's blog. ^_^ Well, obviously, there's a major revamp in the page. Thanks to my new netpal, Laraine. *huggles* Although the title has changed, well, the theme is basically still the same. For starters, she will be finishing school in less than two months. And she has been preparing herself for her first encounter with the real world. Where everything is full competition and demands. She liked the idea of counting her final days at school by having this dairy online. So, here it is. Hoping that someday, her last days at school will be worth remembering.
Is Edge single? Unfortunately, YES!!! But she's not planning to have another relationship right now. I'm stuck here at home. And my kada is enjoying the retreat! *sigh* But I think my stay here was worthy anough. I was supposed to post my entry last night after the costume party. But... oh well...
Last night's costume party was a blast! My Keiko-chan costume came in very late. So I was totally fuming like "SHEEEEEEHT! Wala pa costume kooooooooooo!". I was actually close to tears. When the costume was finally done, I rushed to the party, and I missed the roll call of impersonators (the costume's motiff was impersonating anybody you like). Bummer! Unfortuantely, the emcees had noticed my entrance so I was given the chance to introduce myself. I'll transcribe my speech here... *ahem*
"Konbanwa, minna-sama. Watashiwa Yukimura Keiko no Sarayashiki Jr. High. For everybody's understanding, I'm Keiko Yukimura from Sarayshiki Jr. High..."
Everybody looked puzzled. But I went on.
"I know you guys don't get what I mean. But if you guys are watching Ghostfighter (Yu Yu Hakusho in Japanese), ETO AKO!!!"
*flashed a Keiko picture*
They applauded. After I had my tongue-twisting speech, some people laughed (damn you!), some liked my costume (arigatou for the compliments!). ^_^ The rest of the party went OK. BTW, my sister's Yukino-chan impersonation was cool! (thanks to me anyway, her costume is mainly my idea!) Nag-voice over ako sa Sing Alis, pati sister ko. You know like, "TAMA NA!!!" in a very loud and low voice while my sis was doing "OH YES!" in a seductive voice. It was a blast! Nakakatawa yung mga contestants kasi they don't know the songs that much kaya nangangapa sila. As in sintunado talaga! LOL. BTW, I won in the cake raffle! nyahahahahahaha!!! ^_^ Consolation prize nga lang. But it's OK. At least may titirahin na naman ako! hahahahahaha!!! ^_^
As for the awarding of best in costume, eight awards were given. Two for adults (male and female), two for college and young pro level (male and female din), two for high school level and kids respectively (same din). My sister and I were thrilled since we were nominated. For the college & young pro level, where I was categorized, well...
I WON!!!! I DID IT!!!! I WOOOOOOON!!!! nyahahahahahahahaha! ^_^
Tuwa talaga ako. My effort really paid off. Pwedeng-pwede na akong mag-cosplay!!!! nyahahahahahahahaha!!!! ^_^ I had my speech pa after receiving the award. Like "I would like to thank Rajo Laurel for my outfit and Jun Encarnacion for my hair and make-up!" hehehehehe. Chos lang iyon. ^_^
Then came awarding for the high school level. Unfortunately, my sister lost in the HS female category, but it's OK with her. On the other hand, my brother won the award for H.S male category. He dressed up as Carlos Miguel of the soap opera Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga. As in naka-formal pa ah! I just wonder what he said in his speech....
I just had no idea what came into my mind when this next thing happened. I was so damn silent but quite happy for winning the award. But when my sister's friend (who dressed up as Harry Potter) won the same award for the kids level (male), I bellowed.... "HAAAAAAARRRRYYYY POOOOOTTTEEEER!!!! I LOOOOVVVE YOOOOUUU, HAAAAAARRRRY POOOOOTTTEEEER!!!!" Of course, I got everybody's attention. Nakakatawa ang mga reaksyon nila. ^_^ I also did the same thing when my sister was nominated. "YUUUUKKKIIIINNOOOO!!!!" Gumawa daw ba ako ng skandalo! ehehehehehehehe.... ^_^
I stayed at the place after the party. I had some talk with my friends while we pig-out on cake rolls. Their compliments on my costume continue to come in. Nakakatuwa! ^_^ Kaya na-iisip na ako kung ano ang susunod na costume ko...
I'd like to dress up as Misato Katsuragi of Eva; Tomoyo or Nakuru of CCS; Miaka, Yui or Nuriko of FY, Hitomi of Escaflowne. And... ano pa ba? Hmmm...
