In the morning, I actually gave one of my students remedial in chemistry. That kid was one of the most outrageously frank students I have. One day, when I asked why he did not do his tutorials, he told me that he didn't know how to do and had no mood to do them. I almost wanted to kill him right there and then, but then I figured, well at least he's honest with me. So, I informed him of the test coming up and he finally realised that he needed remedial. Hehe. The magic word.

He brought a friend along who was going to take chemistry when the new term starts and was seriously lagging behind. I talked almost non-stop for at least 3 hours, repeating things that I have said in class, checking all their ridiculous mistakes, and that idiotic student of mine didn't even offer to buy me a drink. Sigh. But later during the day, he paged me to thank me and invited me to join him and his classmates for a barbecue feast. I had to say no, but I felt so good. Ahh...Job satisfaction..

On my way to meet my friends, the strap of my right not-so-cheap platforms shoe actually slipped out and my poor petite little right ankle had to support the weight of the whole chunky shoe everytime I took a step. It was so horrible, but I could have easily fixed the problem by buying a tube of superglue. But I had a tube at home ( to mend the left shoe a few weeks ago..hehe..) and I felt so reluctant to buy another tube. For that, I spent $19.90 to buy a new pair of MaryJane shoes. They made me look like I just got off the plane from China.

Anyway, the rest of the day went quite well. We bought Po Chin a pack of tarot cards. I actually wanted to play with them right after dinner, but none of us could figure out how to. So there, we'll just hafta wait for our next party.

Po Chin, Addy and I watched The Thin Red Line after the rest of the gang left. It took much longer than I expected and I felt stupider than expected. I didn't really understand much of the voiceover and the seemingly-unrelated-but-we-all-know-they-are lines. I mean, I had rough ideas, but I was too tired and too lazy to actually think too much into them. But, the film had very beautiful scenary shots. Somehow, I was more attracted to the way the director manipulated the camera. Aah...it was beautiful...I guess I can watch this again, maybe when I feel better-equipped to think. Hehe.

It was a wonderful day. Smile...smile...smile...smile..
