Sudden inspirations or cravings:
Eat tangerines.

As usual, my family went back to my grandmother's place in Malaysia for this holiday. As usual, we ate, laughed, gambled and had lots of fun.

Seriously speaking, I wouldn't consider myself particularly close to my cousins, especially because we meet at most perhaps 4 times year. But, somehow, we still managed to joke and play like we've been best friends for years.

This year, however, I was somehow in the limelight, for being the new addition to the Teacher's Club in my family. Out of 9 families, including me, there is a total of 6 teachers. Not to mention a principal, a Head of Department here and there. Hehe.

Point being, my new status has induced my cousins to refer to me as Miss Khoo or Qiu Lao Shi ( Teacher Khoo in Chinese ) all the time. That was not the worst. This was:

"Teacher! How can gamble!"
"Teacher! How can eat so much?"
"Teacher! How can sit like that?"
"Teacher! How can scold people?"
Then when I get really irritated, "Teacher! How can hit people!"

Sigh...what can I say?

Of course, there are nice things that happened: I won a grand total of RM10 during gambling...hmm...converted to about S$4.40 heheh..

Oh yes, and my little kid cousins, nieces and nephews are so adorable! I've got this 2-year-old niece who's got this big tummy and I just love to wobble it. Hehe..and she looks so absolutely cute when she giggles.

It was nice to be around people who watched over me growing up, and to know that blood is thicker (and warmer) than water.
