Mood: hungry Fact of the day: The earhole on my right ear is higher than the one on my left ear. Achievements: Completed my Physics homework. Today, I finally realise that this is autumn. As I walked down the road to go to classes this morning, my face was cold, my nose numb and my knuckles white. Some of the trees along the road have alreay started shedding leaves, as half of the pavement was covered with fallen yellow/orange/red leaves. I stepped on them, wearing my boots, looking very childish I'm sure. Half the people walking past me are wearing really thick jackets or windbreakers and about 4 or 5 hold thermal flasks full of hot drinks. I am so thrilled. I'm waiting for most of the trees to turn orange before I take a few pictures. I can imagine them making pretty nice postcards. I sound so pathetic, but seasonal change is something I have never experienced before. Anyway so, I walked down the road, took a deep breath of the cold air and something else struck me. I really wish my family is here to share this moment with me. Mom would be freaking cold, but I think she'll like the scenary. I can imagine dad in his dark blue vest that shows off the bulge of his belly. My two brothers will probably say something crappy like,"Aiyah, it's not cold! You're so weak leh." I can imagine all that. Yet, I'm also very conscious of the fact that they're not here. Yes, I am so homesick today. I've been away from home for almost a month now. |
