           Human being's needs change while time goes by, in terms of hygiene, but the traditional spirits are always remained. In order to fulfill the needs and demand of new era, the industry's tools need to be ungrade!
           This page shows some traditional tools that in-used before Shine Noodles establish. These used tools are the witness of Shine Noodles's road to success. These used tools give you a true picture of early traditional Malaysian Chinese food stuff's live and working environment. In 60's, 70's, early 80's or even the time before that, this tools are common dairy tools, our grandfather and grandmother apply it every day. Anyway, today, its function have been replaced by others instrument, these tools have go into history!

These bamboo instrument is a musical instrument which especially for traditional 'wantan mee' hawker only. Its function is for publicity. People know 'wantan mee' in business once heard the special rhythm of this instrument in early days.

These instrument actually have two parts, we have lost the smaller part. This instrument retired in 1997 after working for about 30 years. Young generations may have not been listened to the sound of this instrument nowadays! The old generations only can 'hear' the sound in their memory!
Bamboo Musical Tool

Chopstick is one of the major tools to cook noodles! There are only 3 pairs of chopstick used in the past 35 years by Shine Noodles family. Two pair out of them shows in the picture beside, the latest pair of chopstick is running business now!

A     is the first pair of chopstick, only left part of it, other parts had rotten.
B     is the second pair of chopstick, only left one piece! The other piece had rotten too!

Many people know how to use chopstick, but, without right skill, such long chopstick is not easy to mastering!
Bamboo Chopstick

The function of these two hardwood poles are the tools to make the membrane of ravioli and dumpling!

From first generation noodle master to the second generation, until now, Shine Noodles still using this tools and appling traditional scale to produce membrane of ravioli and dumpling. These hand-make membrane's thickness is even thinner than the membrane produce by machine. The rational behind is: thinner membrane give better taste to ravioli and dumpling!

Notes: 1. Membrane of ravioli, so called 'wantan pi'
             2. Membrane of dumpling, so called 'shui jiao pi'
Hardwood Pole

This small bamboo instrument called 'qian'!

'Qian' is the instrument used to push a little bit of meat on to the membrane of ravioli or dumpling to produce ravioli and dumpling. Shine Noodles still appling this traditional tools to produce ravioli and dumpling!
Bamboo 'Qian'

This is not paddle, dear!

These pair of bamboo tools also called 'qian', but its function is act as a mixer. It helps to mix all the raw materials, such as, pork meat, sugar, salt, vegetable & etc.

Its function had been replaced by machine.
Bamboo 'Qian'

This ladle is the first ladle used by the first generation noodle master. This ladle by itself has over 70 years history!

This ladle is not made of gold but valued as diamond by Shine Noodles family, as it is the only goods witnessed the migrant of Shine Noodles family from China to Malaysia.

The father of the first generation noodles master of Shine Noodles, bought this ladle from his home town: GuangZhao og China
