June 4 & 5, 2004 I enjoyed participating in Berkeley's vibrant poetry scene at open mics at Change Makers and at the Berkeley Poetry Fest.
June 20, 2004 Tangria Jazz Group's Show through Bread and Roses Tangria had a great time. Bread & Roses, a group that brings free entertainment to people who live in institutions, matched us with a supportive and attentive crowd that cheered us on. Thanks, y'all.
June 25 & 26, 2004 Sheryl in NC with the Stephen Vaughan Trio The trio flew me out for the fun 4th Street Jazz and Blues Festival in Winston-Salem, which was undampened by the rain. We played the Cherry Street Bar in the Adams Mark Hotel to a receptive crowd the next night. The trio is delightful, they gig often, and I'm on their latest CD, so make sure to check them out in the future.
July 30, 2004 Bekka's Frogland Orchestra in La Carnival de la Sense This new space opened with lots of other tasty musicians contributing to this evening, including Kid Beyond, who joined us for a tune.
August 13, 2004 Sheryl with the Bryan Harrison Band at the ICAN Gallery The cozy evening at this new and artistic space was eclectic and enjoyable.

October 2, 2004 Bekka's Frogland Orchestra at the Watershed Environmental Poetry Festival This event included wonderful, well-known poets and useful environmental updates. Frogland rocked the place.
October 20, 2004 Sheryl with Eye Candy at the Top of the Mark This was my first time playing with this talented group of women. I'll hope to return to the beautiful venue to make grooving music with them any time they need me.
October 30, 2004 Bryan Harrison Band at the Lost and Found Saloon for Mischief Night The band sounded great during a full night of music, costumes and pirate calls.
November 3, 2004 Sheryl at Berkeley Independent Study Chatting with such motivated, intellectual and creative students about exploring their many interests and realizing their academic aspirations was inspiring to me. Thanks to both schools for letting me spend some time with you.
November 13, 2004 Julia Lau Band at the Hotel Utah The venue was unique and our set was tight and enjoyable. The other bands and the crowd were also fun.
November 20, 2004 Julia Lau Band at Dan's Irish Sports Bar The band excitedly continued playing a string of venues with Irish flavor.
December 18, 2004 Sheryl in Half Moon Bay and Alameda I played a jazz set in the morning with folks I hope to work with again soon. In the evening, I played a bluesy rock set in Alameda with Bryan Harrison Band members.
