where old hymns are sung in Hawaiian and leis are given for

special and the oldest church on the island.

Check on which companies are still permitted to fly lower
over Na Pali, as it is now very limited.
The type of aircraft
they use is also important. The Bell Jet Ranger seats 1
passenger in front, with a glass floor, and 3 in back with
windows that
open
for photography. The Hughes 500-D seats 2 in front by the pilot and 2 in back,
without opening windows. TheA-star seats 2 in front and 4 in the rear, with
the center seats having a more limited view.
Hiking
Kukui Trail: This 5-mile (RT) trail
to a swimming hole at the bottom of spectacular Waimea
Canyon, off the Iliau Loop Trail. The canyon also now has
a boardwalk through the Alakai Swamp.
Kuilau Ridge Trail: This 4.2-mile (RT)
hike offers dramatic views of small waterfalls and a wealth
of flora, a mile beyond the Uof
H Agr. Exper. Station on Route 580.
Kalalau Trail: Choose 1 to 30-mile (RT)
hikes, in the Na Pali. wilderness, from Ke'e
Beach, offering spectacular views of land and sea.

Lighthouse, hike through bird preserve
to the lighthouse at the point, for great views and dolphin
watch (Closed weekends)
Crater Hill guided hike Tues, Wed, Thurs
at 10AM and 4PM by reservation (808-828-1520)
Christ Church, stone structure with interesting
graveyard
Banana Joe's, best fruit smoothies (drink)
and frosties (like soft ice cream, but all fruit!)
