ALOHA and MAHALO for visiting my Webpage. What you will find here is just my photo album. Portrayed are different photographs which were all taken in Honolulu, Hawaii ... my new hometown. It is my intention to show to my own family, relatives, and friends in the Philippines and elsewhere the many sites and attractions I have seen here in this beautiful island paradise. It is my hope that you will enjoy looking at the photographs.
First, let me give you a brief description of Honolulu. Its name actually means "sheltered bay" and it is the capital city of the State of Hawaii. This city is located in the island of Oahu which Hawaiians also refer to as the "gathering place." Honolulu is the most populous and most visited place in Hawaii. It is the 11th largest city in the United States and the population density is about 1500 persons per square mile. In the state, Honolulu has the busiest port, the major airport, the center of finance, business, education, and government ... and it also has the worst traffic.
The island is only about 608 square miles and is the third largest of the Hawaiian islands. More than 932,000 of the state's 1.2 million residents live here. The median age is about 32 years and a quarter of the population is under 18. There are 103 males for every 100 females. The most important military commands in the Pacific are located on Oahu such that about 12% of Oahu's population are military personnel and their dependents.
